摘要: ABSTRACT Movement of invasive wood-boring insects in wood products presents a threat to forest health and management challenge for public private land managers. The goldspotted oak borer, Agrilus auroguttatus Schaeffer (Coleoptera: Buprestidae), is new pest San Diego Riverside Cos., CA, believed have been introduced on firewood. This beetle has caused elevated levels mortality since 2002. From 2009–2011, we tested several sanitation methods, applicable large small parcels, reduce or prevent borer emergence from infested wood. In most experiments, adults the positive controls demonstrated that could complete development firewood-sized pieces cut 2009, adult sun-exposed began peaked 2- 4-wks earlier at low elevation site than high (late May late June).
