摘要: Although progress has been made in the clinical metrology of pain osteoarthritis, much further work remains. The preferred methods measurement remain debatable. In this longitudinal, open study, a comparison eight self-rating scales conducted. A total 333 patients entered four-week study after completing 3-7 day NSAID-free washout period. Patients were assigned to treatment with oxaprozin 1200 mg p.o. once daily titration permitted between 600 and 1800 mg. Rescue analgesia acetaminophen (paracetamol) 325 (maximum 2600 mg) was allowed. At end period, completed self-administered scales. All measures detected clinically important statistically significant improvements pain. differed their degree responsiveness. Likert visual analogue primary variations (continuous chromatic numerical scales) more responsive than complex measures. positive correlation initial rating subsequent relief confirmed study. We conclude that, while is subjective sensory phenomenon, its perceived severity can be evaluated using variety scales, all which are capable detecting health status following effective pharmacological intervention.
