Dynamics of biotechnology entrepreneurship in South Africa and Brazil

摘要: Biotechnology entrepreneurship is a relatively new and distinct field of entrepreneurship. Most current empirical research conducted in the developed economies cannot be directly extrapolated to developing South Africa Brazil. This used qualitative multiple case studies, idiographic philosophical tradition, two economies; The data collection process included in-depth interviews, documents review observations, which improved quality through triangulation. Ten themes were identified, formed basis for proposed theoretical framework. In addition, seven factors that influence biotechnology Brazil identified as regulation; funding; infrastructure; skills; entrepreneurial commercialisation capabilities; market products; social development. predominantly uses “system approach” while “individual predominates. differs from due differences environmental entrepreneurship, management strategies, these economies.
