摘要: Food legumes are widely grown as a source of protein in semiarid and tropical regions, but production is often limited by the large variation amount distribution rainfall. Mungbean (Vigna radiata L.), cowpea unguiculata soybean (Glycine max peanut (Arachis hypogeae planted after rice (Oryza sativa were compared for response to season-long moisture stress on medium-deep Tropudalf soil, using line-source sprinkler irrigation system during January April 1982 dry season. Drought reduced seed yield all four food legumes, reduction due water was greater mungbean followed soybean, cowpea, peanut. produced significantly lower yields at levels than other legumes. Total use highest, mungbean. Among components, numbr pods per square meter most affected species, number seeds pod, while weight least affected. Harvest index decreased Linearly with increasing drought species.
