Neutron Diffraction Study of the Mn Spin Correlations in Bi0.46Ca0.54Mn0.95Cr0.05O3

摘要: The magnetic and transport properties of 5% Cr-doped Bi 0.46 Ca 0.54 Mn 0.95 Cr 0.05 O 3 have been investigated using susceptibility, specific heat, neutron diffraction measurements. compound crystallizes into an orthorhombic Pbnm symmetry. Charge ordering is revealed below 285 K. thermal behavior the charge can be described by three-dimensional variable range hopping conduction. spins become ordered 90 K, which significantly lower than value 140 K reported for Cr-free compound. However, short-range correlations persist up to much higher temperatures.
