摘要: Health-related productivity assessments typically focus on chronic conditions; however, acute conditions, particularly colds, have the potential to cause substantial health-related losses because of their high prevalence in working-age groups. This article presents findings a study conducted estimate loss due cold by using telephone-administered survey that measured three sources loss: absenteeism, on-the-job productivity, and caregiver absenteeism. Each experienced working adult caused an average 8.7 lost work hours (2.8 absenteeism hours; 5.9 loss), 1.2 were attending children under age 13 who suffering from colds. We conclude economic cost common approaches $25 billion, which $16.6 billion is attributed loss, $8 $230 million
