摘要: The aim of this study was to examine whether significant others can provide useful proxy information on the health-related quality life (QL) cancer patients. We examined level and pattern agreement between patient ratings EORTC QLQ-C30, reliability validity both types information, influence several factors extent agreement. QL were obtained for 307 224 patient-proxy pairs (at baseline follow-up, respectively). Agreement moderate good (ICC = 0.42 0.79). Multitrait-multimethod analysis showed convergence discrimination specific domains. Comparison mean scores revealed a small but systematic bias ratings. maximum disagreement found at intermediate levels QL, with smaller discrepancies noted patients either relatively poor or QL. Both reliable responsive changes over time. Several characteristics their be associated agreement, explained less than 15% variance in differences. In conclusion, present findings lend support viability employing as respondents patients' where is necessary.
