摘要: Background: Candidiasical variety is one of the three main onychomycosis and it frequently related to diabetes. Objective: To determine by Candida associated with diabetes mellitus its epidemiologycal, clinical mycological aspects. Material methods: Observational, retrospective study during 12 years in patients mellitus. Clinical classification confirmation through direct microscopy cultures each case. Results: Out a total 581 cases onychomycosis, 185 (31.84%) were mellitus; most them present females, 124 (67%). Average age was 38.5 years, occupation these house work. Main location fingernails (152 patients, 82.16%), followed paronychia (135 cases, 72.97%), onycholysis (33 17.83%).
