摘要: Abstract To obtain insights into the roles of carbon and nitrogen contained in starting materials partially oxidized tantalum carbonitride (TaCxNy) oxygen-reduction electrocatalysts, we studied oxygen-reduction-reaction (ORR) behaviors structural properties tantalum-oxide-based catalysts prepared by partial oxidation carbides (TaC) nitrides (TaN) under low oxygen pressure with 2%H2/N2 based gas at 1000 °C. The surface tantalum-oxide phase obtained from TaC were β-Ta2O5 whole degree (DOO) range, while both TaON Ta2O5 formed phases TaN, especially DOO regions. highest ORR response was for containing (Ta COs). Although, local structure oxide TaN NOs) are almost identical, Ta NOs showed no significant responses. Carbon materials, therefore, plays an indispensable role emergence activity.
