摘要: [1] Airborne measurements were taken downwind of eleven Texas power generation facilities in 2000 and 2006 as part the two Air Quality Study (TexAQS) campaigns. From these measurements, we determine emission ratios NOx (= NO + NO2), SO2, CO to coemitted CO2 for each facility. These provide an independent external assessment reported from continuous monitoring systems (CEMS). During TexAQS study years, find SO2/CO2 NOx/CO2 derived aboard aircraft agree quantitatively with inventory values CEMS, standard deviations less than ±14%. We document significant decreases atmospheric mixing a result reductions due controls implemented at W. A. Parish plant after 2000. For several facilities, emissions appear relatively constant time. Derived CO/CO2 substantially better Commission on Environmental inventories 2000, which attribute data three that installed CEMS between years not because any change emissions. Other plants have varying over time, complicating comparison annual values. Finally, use NO2 along O3, NO3, N2O5, quantify fraction directly emitted Oklaunion Power Plant, providing first quantitative estimate facility using ambient data.
