摘要: In order to find a simple and efficient method determine sulphate reduction rates in environmental samples, we tested different 35S-SO42− radiotracer techniques. The methods varied the application of subsequent extraction reduced 35S-sulphur species. Samples were either incubated as sediment slurries mixed with radiotracer, or undisturbed cores after core injection radiotracer. Reduced species retrieved passively by diffusion actively reflux distillation. applied surface sediments derived from three aquatic habitats situated Germany: (1) tideless brackish water, (2) mining lake (3) natural freshwater lake. best possible was expected yield highest rates, which reproducible respect magnitude depth distribution.
