摘要: Abstract Hybrid phosphorus-doped silica architectures have been prepared through sol–gel processes in order to enhance the thermal stability and flame retardancy of cotton. To this aim, diethylphosphatoethyltriethoxysilane has used as a functional phosphate alkoxysilane multistep process, consisting consecutive depositions for obtaining with different number layers (namely, 1, 3 or 6 layers). The role such deeply investigated correlated final properties treated fabrics. FT-IR ATR spectroscopy exploited assessing formation skeleton on cotton surface evaluating interactions between cellulosic fibres doped film. treatments proved play protective degradation fibres, hindering volatile species that fuel further favouring char.
