摘要: The presence of5-3Δβ-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase, IIβ-hydroxysteroid 17β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase and glucose-6-phosphate has been demonstrated histochemically in the adrenal gland of rain quailCoturnix coromendalica, barn owlTyto alba, brown crakeAmaurornis akool painted partidgeFrancholinus pictus. All these enzymes occurred inter-renal cells. No activity was observed chromaffin It is suggested that cells four species birds are capable synthesizing both corticosteroids sex steroids.
