摘要: A thermo-mechanical simulation of the friction stir processing (FSP), using DEFORM 3D software based on Lagrangian implicit, was developed and verified by experimental results. Simulation can successfully predict temperature effective strain distributions. Material flow around tool pin examined point tracking. It found that major part material occurs at advancing side, consequently, stirred zone (SZ) stretches toward side. However, retreating side moves slightly in backward direction. The deformation peak influence microstructural characters determine width SZ. Based simulation, histories were also calculated. amount required for recrystallization sides as well bottom SZ determined. Therefore, be predicted simulation.
