摘要: This paper reports a case of furuncular myiasis caused by Dermatobia hominis in domestic dog from Colombia. A male dog, German shepherd breed, approximately 2 years old was brought for medical consultation. The reason the presence one lesion and discomfort patient. Clinical examination revealed wound over sacral area similar to an inflammatory papule, with central punctum exuding serosanguinous discharge. In applied pressure around wound, that allowed evidencing larva inside tissue. treatment surgical removal dog. Treatment complemented Cephalexin (20 mg / kg, twice day orally 7 days), Meloxicam (0.2 mg once 3 days) cleaning chlorhexidine, three times until points 7 days later. sent Parasitology laboratory UDES morphology identification. identified as hominis.
