Study on Measurement of Green Productivity of Tourism in the Yangtze River Economic Zone, China

摘要: This paper introduces energy consumption and carbon emission into the analysis framework of green productivity tourism. By comparing analyzing two main methods used to evaluate estimations tourism, namely, “top-down” “bottom-up” method, considering availability data, method was adopted emissions tourism in Yangtze River Economic Zone (YREZ). Then, using Malmquist-Luenberger (ML) index super-efficiency data envelopment (DEA) model, 11 provinces cities YREZ from 2006 2015 measured. The empirical results show that: (1) have increased steadily over past 10 years, which has caused a certain degree pollution environment, indicating that is no longer “smoke-free industry”; (2) there are significant provincial differences between YREZ, with Shanghai always ranking first, while Guizhou Yunnan ranks last, represents economic development level positively correlated emissions; (3) shows fluctuating increasing trend technological progress become reason for its growth productivity; (4) can be divided three types: Progressive type development, stagnant declining development. Consequently, different types should explore effective dependency paths based on their own conditions.
