Simulation of Parallel Duplicate Address Detection (PDAD) for macro handover in HMIPv6

摘要: The growth of telecommunication devices has driven the development technology Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6), which supports concept seamless communication. One MIPv6 extention is Hierarchical (HMIPv6) were developed to reduce delay at time vertical handover process by utilizing Mobility Anchor Point (MAP) whose enhancement shorten configuring IP address and forwards data device. However, implementation HMIPv6 only effectively when a device doing on network that same MAP. Delay will appear moving towards with different MAP (macro handover). By way, it required an additional mechanism in macro process, especially duplicate detection (DAD) causes for 1000ms. Parallel Duplicate Address Detection (PDAD) OMNeT++ simulation can amounted 33.33%.
