Evaluation of an alcohol education package for non‐specialist health care and social workers

摘要: Summary A quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design was used to assess the influence of a two-day experiential alcohol education package for non-specialist health care and social workers. Four pairs teams took pan in study: general practice; accident emergency; medicine elderly; work. The dual foci evaluation were agents' knowledge attitudes, these assessed using modified version Alcohol Problems Perception Questionnaire (AAPPQ).1 For both variables, one-month follow-up scores significantly higher than those comparisons, although effect stronger case therapeutic attitudes knowledge. There also significant differences improvement ittitude scores, with effects being absented practice, elderly work but not emergency. At 6 months, level fall-off varied this, along pattern change evident five components which comprise AAPPQ attitude scale, examined discussed relation previous research this field inquiry.
