Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Long, Ultrafine-Grained Ti Rods

摘要: In this paper, we report our recent studies on the effect of processing routes microstructure and mechanical properties long ultrafine-grained Ti rods. CP (Grade 2) rods were processed into long, (UFG) with a dimension 6.5 mm in diameter more than 1000 long), via equal-channel angular pressing followed by thermo-mechanical treatment. This paper presents UFG microstructures evolution at various stages processing. It was established that formation homogeneous structure grain size about 70 nm enhanced ultimate strength 2.5 times comparison initial annealed state, while maintaining good ductility 12%.
