摘要: Summary Background Despite the requirement for and endorsement of injury prevention efforts among U.S. trauma centres, little is known about breadth depth their current activities. Methods A survey was sent to eligible institutions in National Inventory Trauma Centres better describe how level I II centres are fulfilling requirement, identify barriers conducting activities, determine centre personnel's interest enhancing role. Results total 268 (60%) completed survey. Only 19% reported having an director/coordinator but more than half participating 9 11 including community events (97%), sending speakers local schools (89%), preparing or distributing educational materials (84%). Lack time (68%), dedicated funding specialist (45%) were most frequently cited Injury collaborations with safety groups (24%) emergency medical services, fire police (23%). partnered less academic (11%) state health departments (16%). Topics formats training as well also explored. Conclusions Improved partnerships linkages established agencies organisations at levels could assist leveraging limited resources expertise offer state-of-the-art programs policies. As low- middle-income countries developing strengthening systems, they should be encouraged view a fundamental responsibility.
