A proposal of DNS-based adaptive load balancing method for mirror server systems and its implementation

摘要: In order to protect a server become overloading due concentration of accesses, mirror system is widely used for distributing the load multiservers. For such system, it very important users select an appropriate one among servers. previous systems, DNS (domain name system) Round-Robin mechanism adopted this purpose, otherwise must choose by themselves. Even in former method, however, since all servers are evenly assigned clients without any cares performance and process status servers, each deflected. To solve above problem, article proposes new adaptive balancing method based on ordinary mechanism. proposal, mirror-server periodically probes server. query from client, changes its response probed results IP address client. Finally, prototype proposal implemented file transfer speeds both proposed estimated RingServer Project Japan.
