摘要: The Wnt/Frizzled signaling pathway plays multiple functions in animal development and, when deregulated, human disease. G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) Frizzled and its cognate heterotrimeric Gi/o proteins initiate the intracellular cascades resulting cell fate determination polarization. In this review, we summarize knowledge on ligand recognition, biochemistry, modifications interacting partners of viewed as GPCRs. We also discuss effectors Go protein signaling. One group these is represented by small GTPases Rab family, which amplify initial signal. Another effector negative regulator Wnt Axin, becomes deactivated response to action. discovery GPCR properties receptors not only provides mechanistic understanding their pathways, but paves new avenues for drug efforts.
