摘要: The 59-kDa dystrophin-associated protein triplet (59-DAP) is a component of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex which may directly associate with dystrophin. cDNA encoding one (59-1 DAP) 59-DAP has now been cloned from rabbit skeletal muscle. deduced amino acid sequence 59-1 DAP predicts 505-amino polypeptide containing nine potential phosphorylation sites and no predicted transmembrane domains. This consistent being peripheral membrane associated cytoplasmic face complex. Affinity-purified antibodies against fusion proteins only recognize lowest band in muscle sarcolemma isolated tissue-specific expression mRNA, most prominent cardiac also detected brain, parallels that dystrophin but not utrophin. Levels mRNA are unaffected mdx mouse muscles, although all proteins, including 59-DAP, greatly reduced However, muscle, up-regulation utrophin preserves except 59-DAP. Our results suggest contain different species more specifically than
