摘要: Structural health monitoring (SHM) techniques are often used for detecting damage and diagnosing the structural conditions. There many issues related to installation constructability of SHM systems in-situ fibre optic sensors (FOS) on rebars in reinforced concrete (RC) elements. Here, a solution is provided FOS strain sensor by mounting it supplementary bar priori then attaching main reinforcing interest at construction site prior pouring. Such innovative deployment system particularly advantageous developing practical infrastructure. However, performance such under various loading climatic conditions not very well known.
