摘要: PURPOSE To explore the application of a novel relaxation method (the M Technique) in hospitalized very preterm infants level IIIC neonatal intensive care unit. DESIGN A feasibility, observational intervention study. SUBJECTS Ten were enrolled to receive treatment intervention. Eligible born less than 30 weeks' gestation received at postmenstrual age. METHODS Based on infant readiness, each Technique for 5 minutes. Physiologic parameters (heart rate, respiratory and oxygen saturations), behavioral variables (stress cues), state measured minutes before, during, up 10 after intervention, continuously. RESULTS Descriptive analysis revealed that baseline physiologic, state, cue changed during Technique. decrease heart rate occurred (P = .006, P > .001 respectively) end session .02). In addition, an increase SaO2 following .04, .02, respectively). State scores decreased from (mean 5.1; range, 3-9) 2.0, range 1-4). As was delivered, more positive negative cues observed throughout, end, session. CONCLUSION this feasibility study, can be delivered without adverse effects who are Additional research is needed with larger, randomized design determine short- long-term specifically related neurologic outcomes.
