摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the controlling of biomolecular crystallization by understanding distinct effects PEGs and salts on solubility. In biomacromolecular field, usually has been discussed in reference to position a “solubility curve” phase diagram that is an admission normal thermodynamic process. shows SAXS can be particularly useful analyze interactions solution leading crystallization. From series experiments performed variety model systems, tries show two types additives, both induce attractive interactions, are playing major role: neutral polymers. As consequence, it now seems possible better rationalize limit number trials for first screening conditions. Finally, this concludes future, other potential applications would clarify role kinetic aspects crystallization, nucleation, crystal growth.
