摘要: Background The use of endosseous dental implants has led to more sophisticated fxed options when considering treatment patients with distal extensions. narrow-diameter may reduce the necessity for bone augmentation. mechanical strength titanium is limited, so alloys greater tensile and fatigue be preferable. Purpose purpose this study was evaluate clinically radiographically performance level made from titanium-zirconium alloy (TiZr, Roxolid(TM)) in restoring unilateral atrophic mandibular extensions prostheses. Materials methods Twenty partially edentulous received two 3.3 mm diameter TiZr (Straumann AG, Basel, Switzerland). were restored 3-units ceramo-metal partial dentures. Standardized clinical radiographic parameters (survival rate, probing pocket depth marginal loss) evaluated at time completion prosthetic (baseline) after 3, 6 12 months functional loading. Prosthetic complications also assessed. Results survival rate 100% 1 year There no statistically significant differences between values over follow-up period. All showed less than loss end Conclusion Within limitations 1-year pilot study, appears predictable This type meets established success criteria year.
