摘要: Abstract Complexes between lanthanide nitrates and triethylphosphine oxide have been prepared fall into two distinct categories. With the lighter lanthanides Ln(NO 3 ) (Et PO) (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Eu) are formed whilst for heavier metals mixtures of 2 isolated. The structures determined by single crystal X-ray crystallography show that all complexes 9-coordinate a pseudo mer -octahedral arrangement if bidentate envisaged as monodentate ligands. conductivity in dichloromethane acetonitrile indicates non-conducting. NMR spectra CD Cl solution consistent with rapid interconversions inequivalent phosphorus environments. For Yb Lu static can be assigned to peaks low temperature 31 P which also evidence fac -isomer 1:2 complex. formation 1:3 is discussed terms balance steric effects basicity phosphine
