Social Workers’ Ideas on Health Promotion among Older Adults

摘要: The purpose of this study was to explore the role and experience social workers who provide services older adults in community. With unprecedented demographic shift multitude challenges, problems barriers traditionally associated with aging, a paradigm from problem-based focus one that emphasizes health promotion is gaining visibility. This relevant for work variety service settings. Eight licensed working community-based agencies were interviewed include workers' voices on how they utilize framework Vital Involvement identify assess adults' strengths, structural environmental levels engagement activities support systems. Findings showed these practice reflects principles processes congruent promotion. Implications suggest future adults, living community, could benefit by utilizing Framework, because it guides them through systematic exploration assessment all areas adult's life.
