摘要: Objectives—To determine the effects of neighborhood levels poverty, household crowding, and acculturation on rate injury to Hispanic non-Hispanic white children. Setting—Orange County, California. Methods—An ecologic study design was used with census block groups as unit analysis. Measures were specific each ethnic group. Poisson regression calculate mutually adjusted incidence ratios (IRRs) corresponding a 20% difference in variables. Results—Among children, rates more closely associated crowding (adjusted IRR 2.36, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.22 4.57) than poverty 1.06, CI 0.89 1.26). For strongest risk factors proportion adults who spoke only some English (compared little or no English, 1.26, 1.04 1.53) US residents for <5 years 1.20, 1.001 1.43). Neighborhood not related among children 0.98, 1.08), but surprisingly, lower 0.89, 0.81 0.97). Conclusions—Cultural geographic transitions, well socioeconomic differences, appear contribute differences childhood between groups.
