摘要: The temperature-induced dynamic percolation of water/oil (w/o) microemulsions (water/AOT/heptane, water/AOT/octane, and water/AOT/decane) has been studied in the presence hydrotropes (2-methoxy phenol, 4-methoxy 5-methoxy resorcinol, 3-methoxy catechol). results have analyzed (1) to estimate threshold temperature, (2) test performance scaling equation, (3) obtain activation energy for process, (4) assess thermodynamics clustering dispersed nanodroplets. influence substitution methoxy group (at different positions phenolic moieties) on process compared with their nonmethoxy analogues favor “fusion−(mass transfer)−fission” mechanism percolation. assessment role hydrophobic chain length hydrocarbon oil also attempted.
