摘要: AimTo evaluate prenatal care knowledge of Brazilian community health workers (CHWs). BACKGROUND Routine is critical for reducing risks in women and their children. A questionnaire developed ascertain degree regarding including: (1) general CHWs; (2) initial pregnant woman; (3) examinations vaccinations recommended women; (4) pregnancy complications signs labor; (5) lifestyle considerations women. Responses were categorized into levels knowledge. Demographic data also collected. Descriptive analyses conducted. Proportions subjects different compared according each demographic variable, separately block knowledge, using χ 2 Fisher's exact tests.FindingsIn total, 194 CHWs interviewed. Overall, majority presented high blocks 1 (43%), (59%) 5 (83%). However, 3 proportions 35 40%, respectively. Only 24% participants level 4. Stratified suggest that females statistically more likely have whereas no significant differences found other variables. Health services are already routinely questionnaire. CONCLUSION results especially female an important assisting community. study indicates areas require specific attention from training providers.
