摘要: Abstract Well-functioning ecosystems hold high values of biodiversity and provide a wide range ecosystem services. In 25 years, Nerbioi-Ibaizabal estuary (North Spain) has changed from highly polluted to one with moderate/good ecological status, mainly due the construction Waste Water Treatment Plant that operated in since 1990. recent decades, recorded biotic abiotic parameters show clear improvement, but concurrent response cultural services (e.g. recreational fishing) remains unexplored. Recreational fishers' fishing behaviour perceptions over environmental changes were obtained through questionnaire compared improvement. Results positive correlation between recovery fishers’ behaviour. However, on fish abundance) more negative than those recorded.
