摘要: The thermal degradation of a series poly(methacrylic acid)s (PMADs) with different tacticities has been investigated under inert atmosphere. All the samples showed two main stages. first decomposition process isotactic PMAD consisted formation anhydride groups, almost quantitatively, by dehydration. In case PMADs lower content, elimination water between neighboring carboxylic groups is less favored and anhydridization shifts at higher temperatures where other reactions may take place same time. maximum volatilization rates second step increased in order > atactic syndiotactic.
