A high temperature photochemistry kinetics study of the reaction of oxygen (3P) atoms with acetylene from 290 to 1510 K

摘要: The O + C/sub 2/H/sub 4/ reaction has been investigated in a high-temperature photochemistry (HTP) reactor at temperatures from 290 to 1510 K and pressures 60 500 Torr. Ground-state atoms were generated by flash photolysis of CO/sub 2/ monitored time-resolved atomic resonance fluorescence with pulse counting. Measurements made under pseudo-first-order conditions (O) << (C/sub 4/). Rate coefficients 850 are good agreement the numerous earlier measurements that range. Above those sharp rise k(T) increasing T is evident. On basis present other isolated elementary techniques they recommend = 1.3 x 10/sup -11/ exp(-830 K/T) 1.9 -9/ exp(-6940 cm/sup 3/ molecule/sup -1/ s/sup as fit expression for 290-1510 Confidence limits discussed text. It shown accepted transition-state treatment channels significant < cannot account upward curvature. Other will have be considered higher temperatures.
