摘要: In the framework of Einstein–Maxwell-aether theory we study birefringence effect, which can occur in pp-wave symmetric dynamic aether. The aether is considered to be a latently birefringent quasi-medium, displays this hidden property if and only motion non-uniform, i.e., when flow characterized by non-vanishing expansion, shear, vorticity or acceleration. accordance with dynamo-optical scheme description interaction between electromagnetic waves aether, shall model susceptibility tensors terms linear covariant derivative velocity four-vector. When modes appear deal gravitationally induced degeneracy removal respect parameters. As consequence, phase velocities possessing orthogonal polarizations do not coincide, thus displaying effect. Two field configurations are studied detail: longitudinal transversal front. For both cases solutions found, reveal anomalies response on action mode.
