摘要: Abstract The efficacy of topical ivermectin (IVM) on foals naturally infected by parasitic nematodes was evaluated. Two dosages IVM were applied pour-on (F-Nor0.5; 0.5 mg/kg body weight [BW] and F-Nor1; 1 BW) results compared with the oral administration (F-Eq0.2; 0.2 BW IVM). measured estimating reduction in fecal egg counts (fecal count reduction) numbers horses shedding parasite eggs (positive horse reduction). Several biochemical enzymatic serum parameters groups F-Eq0.2 F-Nor1. Before deworming horses, Parascaris equorum, Cyathostomum, Gyalocephalus spp, Oxyuris equi identified. In all treated groups, excretion ascarid ended 4 days after treatment. orally administered suppressed output strongyles pinworms treatment, whereas for F-Nor1 group this occurred 8 Eggs detected F-Nor0.5 throughout study. levels blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, total proteins, albumin, globulins, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) reduced significantly IVM, but values not within normal range only achieved LDH. A significant positive correlation between cyathostomins LDH investigated. Clinically, no adverse reactions receiving observed. It concluded that provides similar to administration, offers a very useful tool control infestation intestinal affecting wild grazing horses.
