摘要: Since the 1970s, limitations of two dimensional (2D) cell culture and relevance appropriate three (3D) systems have become increasingly evident. Extensive effort has thus been made to move cells from a flat world 3D environment. While technologies are meanwhile widely used in academia, 2D still entrenched (pharmaceutical) industry for most kind cell-based efficacy toxicology tests. However, will certainly more applicable if biological relevance, reproducibility high throughput can be assured at acceptable costs. Most recent innovations developments clearly indicate that transition industrial purposes, example, drug development is simply question time.
