摘要: We have determined the complete nucleotide sequence of two early embryonic beta-globin genes BALB/c mouse: beta h0 and h1 X codes for z protein, while gene may be a minor gene. The general organization both is entirely analogous to other functional globin genes. There is, however, 220-base pair insertion unique within first intron are 96% homologous 260 base pairs 5‘ AUG initiation codon, 93% throughout their coding regions. Analysis 5‘-flanking demonstrates that these more nonadult-like than adult-like. sequences show evidence conversions among mouse nonadult were limited individual exons, presumably by presence non-homologous introns. propose this arrangement has beneficial evolutionary effect allowing conversion act independently on regions protein with different structural or responsibilities. homologs human fetal rabbit 3 genes, manner expression similar dissimilar expression. history therefore, includes recruitment an developmental control.
