摘要: Diel variations in drift of periphytic diatoms were studied a small 4th-order sandy stream and enclosed recirculating water chambers the laboratory to describe algal natural stream, identify species exhibiting diel periodicities drift, determine if species-specific may be related substrate selectivity, affected by benthic invertebrates. Stream samples collected at 2-h intervals for 24-h periods seven times from July 1986-July 1987. Algal ranged 130-950 cells/mL was dominated Achnanthes minutissima, Cocconeis placentula var. euglypta, lanceolata dubia, clevei, Amphora perpusilla, diminuta, Fragilaria brevistriata.
