摘要: In two experiments, we examined deaf and hard of hearing adolescents' memory for prose as compared to that students. The study focused on the possibility readers might make relatively less use relational information in textual materials. Text structure material concreteness were manipulated, distinctive was assessed. Results indicated students remembered abstract materials well they did concrete They likely than remember idea units (concrete or abstract) holistically within passages, but showed better individual words. This difference disappeared when same sentences presented without global paragraph coherence. findings suggest may be integrate text across units, although retain much from units.
