摘要: [1] In this paper, aerosol data from the Polar Ozone and Aerosol Measurement (POAM) satellites between 1994 1998 are used to explore existence of polar stratospheric clouds (PSCs) in Antarctic winter stratosphere. Multiwavelength extinction combined yield volume density which is compared with that generated theoretical equilibrium models for nitric acid trihydrate (NAT) particles supercooled ternary solution (STS) droplets at 30 mb. As progresses, PSC falls, a strong indication denitrification or dehydration. Six-day isentropic back trajectories each POAM observation locations examine recent temperature history aerosols. Statistical studies carried out using multiple regression determine whether plays role NAT cloud formation. We unable identify any factors unquestionably affect formation PSCs just below condensation temperature, although probability occurrence higher air had previously been colder. There no significant evidence found preferential based upon length time aerosols were point. conclude study factors, other than history, partially responsible PSCs.
