摘要: According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nations (FAO), animal genetic resources available throughout world are in dramatic state decline. This results disappearance substantial numbers local populations, consequent loss their ability adapt genetically environments. study analyzes variability structure a limited rare population, beef cattle breed from Majorca Isle (Spain): Mallorquina breed, based on analysis 15 microsatellites. A total 26 individuals, grouped according coat color, were sampled: 12 red variety 14 black variety. The relationships between these subpopulations five other Spanish breeds analyzed compared. levels very similar for two varieties, comparable those obtained Europeans breeds. value differentiation (FST) varieties was low (0.3%), indicating existence high gene flow groups, great similarity them.
