摘要: Contrary to previous assumptions, G proteins do not permanently reside on the plasma membrane, but are constantly monitoring cytoplasmic surfaces of membrane and endomembranes. Here, we report that Gαq Gα11 locate at mitochondria play a role in complex signaling pathway regulates mitochondrial dynamics. Our results provide evidence for presence heteromeric protein (Gαq/11βγ) outer inner membrane. Both localizations necessary maintain proper equilibrium between fusion fission; which is achieved by altering activity mitofusin proteins, Drp1, OPA1 potential both membranes. As result absence Gαq/11, there decrease rates overall respiratory capacity, ATP production OXPHOS-dependent growth. These findings demonstrate serves as physiological function: stabilizing elongated regulating energy Drp1 Opa1 dependent mechanisms. This thereby links organelle dynamics physiology.
