Investigation of the neutron transmission spectra of materials promising for the manufacturing of crystalline and polycrystalline filters

摘要: Neutron transmission in various materials promising for the manufacturing of neutron filters based on single-crystalline and polycrystalline bismuth sapphire single crystals is studied. Experimental results show that neutrons with wavelengths λ > 2.5 A coefficient attains ∼88% ∼78% crystals. At same time, maximum does not exceed ∼18%. The possibility X-ray beams discussed.
