摘要: This study investigates the in vivo hypocholesterolemic action of platycodin D and its vitro evidence for cholesterol-lowering properties. In order to examine effects on hypercholesterolemia male ICR mice, with doses 15, 30 or 50 mg/kg was orally administered 8 weeks. Changes body weight daily food intake were measured regularly during experimental period. Final contents triglyceride different types cholesterol serum, livers feces determined. The metabolism further investigated several assays, including antioxidant effect low density lipoprotein oxidation, inhibition human acyl-coenzyme A:cholesterol acyltransferase (hACAT) serum associated-phospholipase A(2) (Lp-PLA(2)), as well regulation farnesoid X receptor. formation insoluble complex between also investigated. Following an eight week period, weights D-fed mice less than those control a high diet by 11.2+/-5% (P<0.01) 15 D, 11.7+/-5% 23.4+/-7.9% (P<0.0001) respectively. A decrease consumption noted most treated animals. Triglyceride concentrations decreased serums livers, but increased feces. Some observations revealed that is partly associated hACAT activity antagonism receptor cholesterol. Both results demonstrate potential value novel anti-atherogenic candidate.
