摘要: Background Ultrasound induced hyperthermia is a useful adjuvant to radiation therapy in the treatment of prostate cancer. A uniform thermal dose (43°C for 30 minutes) required within targeted cancerous volume effective therapy. This requires specific ultrasound phased array design and appropriate thermometry method. Inhomogeneous, acoustical, three-dimensional (3D) models economical computational methods provide necessary tools predict shape arrays better focusing. research utilizes k-space method 3D human model an intracavitary probe Evaluation includes ex vivo controlled experiments using noninvasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) thermometry.
