摘要: In the most recent years security became a crucial issue in travel and tourism agenda. Security includes different areas, such as public security, environmental informative medical among others. The results of an empirical research conducted at Faro Airport, from July to October 2006, sample 1,262 international tourists, allows us conclude that Algarve is viewed safe tourist destination. Non parametric tests contingency tables demonstrate country residence age group are independent variables with stronger impact on perceptions compared presence children group, gender, previous visit Algarve, education level.
