摘要: Abstract Ghrelin plays a key role as the major orexigenic hormone from gastrointestinal tract to hypothalamic areas that govern food intake, balancing against multitude of anorectic hormones, such leptin, insulin and PYY 3–36 . Surprisingly, even in absence agonist, ghrelin receptor signals with ∼50% activity. Thus, although antagonists are expected reduce meal-associated inverse agonists receptor, by blocking constitutive activity, might lower set-point for hunger between meals, eliminating craving second orders, desserts snacks.
