摘要: The aim of this study was to prepare, by melt granulation, granules containing ibuprofen as a poorly water soluble model drug in order improve its dissolution rate and availability; lactose diluent poloxamer 188 (Lutrol F68), new meltable hydrophilic binder, were used. prepared laboratory-scale high-shear mixer, using jacket temperature 50 degrees C an impeller speed 500 rpm. particle size analysis shows that the main fraction between 200 microm, while determination content indicated quite uniformly distributed all fractions. Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), image fractal revealed did not have perfect spherical shape rugged surface (D(s)=2.6475). vitro tests showed increase compared pure physical mixture. characterisation samples, performed Differential Calorimetry (DSC) X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), suggests improvement could be correlated formation eutectic mixture binder. Stability studies granule properties do change, at least after 1 year storage 25 C. In conclusion, results work suggest granulation technique is easy fast method ibuprofen,
